Nice clean and pleasant location

Just opposite an Aldi, 5 min walk to Eccles tram or train station. The express train is only 8 mins to central Manchester. Clean and spacious rooms. Room nicely heated. Plenty of fresh towels and daily cleaning. Free parking.

Restaurant didn’t have many vegan options and was only open for a few hours in the evening. It’s a strange layout as you take the lift to one floor and then have to take the stairs down to your room.

The location is brilliant. The breakfast was lovely Very clean hotel

The mattress was not good at all. I got pain all over my body, couldn’t sleep at all. Mattress need changing, it was like I slept on a wood.

Excellent vfm. Location gives good access to the city centre, etc. it’s my third visit this year, so yes I’d recommend for a cheap place to stay for 1 or 2 nights

Good for a short stopover, free parking on site & good transport links to Manchester City Centre.

I don't know which Hotel Gods some previous reviewers had angered but our room (double, 10th floor) was warm, clean (spotless) and comfortable. Shower/bathroom excellent, plentiful hot water. Reception and checkout were slick, friendly and professional. Didn't make use of the bar but it looked to be well supplied and reasonably priced.

Some of the fixtures and fittings are a little flimsy (bathroom towel rail, over bed lights) and might not last too long in a hotel environment. The location seems a little forbidding, it's an old Salford University building which has been re-purposed as a hotel. Reception is on the second floor. If you get a room close to the fire doors in the corridor these are not damped and "slam" as people pass through which might disturb your night's sleep. N.B. If you are mobility challenged, look elsewhere. The Reception and rooms are on mezzanine floors only accessible by either climbing or descending a short flight of stairs.

Fairly big sized room, full of lights and airy. Very clean and standard bathroom.

It was okay location wise - shops were within walking distance. Parking availability was good. Staff were good. Standard sized room. internet speed was satisfactory. Cleanliness of bathroom was beyond expectations. It was a great value for money.

Accessing reception area ... but the staff were helpful. There was not any closet. So clothes were all exposed - not quite ideal for a couple. Bigger TV can be a good stuff to invest in. Please review the bed - ok but could be made better.

Budget hotel with friendly helpful staff. Room clean with reasonable space and facilities.

Signs in the car park to show the exit. A coach hid the main one during my stay and I had to do a couple of laps of the very full car park before escaping. Also quicker response or automation of the car park entrance. On my first arrival I had to buzz for several minutes before being allowed in.

Awful Hotel

This is not a purpose built hotel rather a converted 1970’s style office block and very tired and scruffy at that. The local Job Centre occupies the ground floor. The reception is on the 2nd floor and part of the bar both of which are unwelcoming and downright scruffy. The stairwells and lift areas serve a number of other establishments and are dirty and untidy. The rooms are sparsely furnished and our double bed was two single beds pushed together and bore two old uncomfortable saggy mattresses. Very cheap mattresses at best. The toilet/shower room was good and had clearly been refurbed. The block is in a very tired area, which was unnerving to walk through from the Metro link Station at night. The car park had a barrier to enter but no barrier on the exit so what was the point of the entrance barrier. Didn’t feel my car was secure in the slightest. I am absolutely dumbfounded that this has been given a 3 star rating and disappointed with Booking.com as I usually use them all the time. This is not a hotel but a crudely converted office block. I booked this as there was nothing else in the city as everything was full due to the United v Spurs game. We returned to our room after the game, gathered our belongings and drove 200 miles home as we couldn’t bring ourselves to stay in the place. Don’t know what breakfast was like as we didn’t wait around. Gutted at wasting £158.

Good value for the money

Good value for the money. Reception is working 24/7 which is good is you have late flight. Perfect transport connection - from the airport you can reach hotel by train which goes to Liverpool and from the hotel you can get to the city center by tram. Clean rooms. Recommended!

Good parking space. Good English breakfast available. It was Buffet by the way so that was great. Sheets and bed were comfortable and hence had a fabulous sleep after a long day at a course

Friendly staff. Very clean rooms.

Most of the breakfast selection wasn't put out due to a coach party being in the room, but if you know what you want you can ask the staff and they will get it out. I hope that the coach party are not being ripped off.

Free parking. It was 2 miles from the bowlers exhibition centre smack bang opp Aldi

It’s in a converted office block with the job centre on the first floor. The surrounding area wasnt the prettiest, looked rough. Couldn’t open the windows so no air plenty of condensation. I and there was a gooey gift hanging off the curtain next to the bed

All staff were helpful.

All staff were helpful. Room was clean & comfortable.

Big mark on the bathroom wall which you notice as soon as you walk in. Out of the 3 lifts only one was working on Sunday morning. Whole building was very warm.

A good option if you want to save money

The staff were super friendly and helpful! The breakfast was fantastic and the room was pretty comfortable for the price. It was also super close to Eccles train station which meant getting to and from the city centre was mega cheap and easy

It was difficult to navigate and the reception was pretty hidden. The cleanliness was okay but could’ve been better; there was some black mould in the shower and the walls had some dirty handprints smeared over them
